Shorter wavelengths scatter at the surface; these pass through the outer layer and reach the dermal tissue underneath. It's the same range used in professional panels, not a cosmetic red glow.

The masks are built from flexible medical-grade silicone rather than hard plastic. It sits against the face without pressure points, follows the contours so the LEDs stay an even distance from the skin, and wipes clean with a damp cloth. No fabric to absorb product, no pads to replace.
